Action at its best in a cowboys life! Horses are not always interested in the plans we have for them. This painting is reminiscent of a horse I once worked with. She had habit, once every morning, of trying to buck a fellow off.
She was spotted by a rodeo stock contractor. Her owner traded her for two good saddle mules right then and there!
A good life for her, working only
8 seconds on weekends and only seasonal at that! She went on to make quite
a name for herself. Although when I rode her, around the ranch and up in the
mountains, she was a great little mare
after her morning bucking jag!
My kids could even ride her. Not much of a morning girl I guess.
